The Kraft Journal Challenge #234

Welcome to another addition of the Kraft Journal.  This weeks Kraft Journal Challenge #234 is CAS - Inspirational.

I just love a good quote, don't you?  They can make you laugh or bring a tear to your eye, but they almost always make you think.  We are being bombarded with negative thoughts and images all day from the internet, newspapers, magazines and television, so positive thoughts are can be very uplifting and really make someone's day.   Give it a shot, create something with any inspirational saying.

Tammy Hobbs

Tammy found a perfect sentiment for this week's Inspiration challenge, but admits she may have missed the mark on CAS. She started with a card base of Brown Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock onto which she layered a piece of red cardstock to frame the two pieced pattern papers. In the center she took a length of crochet trim from her stash and placed where the two papers meet. Next she took a length of Black Twill Tape and wrapped it around the card front just above the lace trim.  To the right, and above the trim, she added an inspirational sentiment in black ink.  She stamped a flower onto blue paper and fussy cut it out followed by doing the same for the leaves only using green paper and then popped it up on the left side of the card using foam adhesive. She added a die-cut border to the bottom of the card. Lastly for a decorative touch, she added a few sequins to the upper left corner. For additional pictures and product information, please visit Tammy's blog: Creating Somewhere Under The Sun.

Stephanie Wright
As a patterned-paper-multi-layers addict, Stephanie finds CAS challenges truly a challenge.  She started this week's card with a Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card as her card base. She then stamped a floral background stamp in white pigment ink on a piece of Lunch Bag Kraft Cover Weight Cardstock. Her sentiment was stamped on the back of an Admit One Ticket Tag. After stringing the tag with Red Baker's Twine, she wrapped the twine around the stamped cardstock and then layered it on the note card.  Some Copic colored butterflies and pearls finish off the card.  A piece of Buff Cover Weight Cardstock was layered on the inside to make it easier to write a message.  Stephanie hopes that you'll play along in this week's CAS challenge and also hopes you'll visit her at her blog, Steph's Scrap Happenings, for more card details and pictures.

Marsha Drain
For her CAS Inspirational card, Marsha started with black cardstock and then added a layer of Brown Kraft.  She printed a verse onto Light Kraft.  The image of hands is a digital image which she then framed with more Brown Kraft.  For more details, please visit her blog:  Gramma's Room.

Use this week's theme to inspire you to create your project and then link it up at the bottom
