Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Inks, Paints or Markers" Challenge

Lynn Darda

Lynn loves her ink so she was excited to create for this challenge, "Inks, Paints, and Markers".  For this card Lynn started with a Kraft Coverweight CS base and used Chocolate ink to randomly stamp a sentiment across the card front.  Lynn spritzed a Large Manila Shipping Tag with re-inker and a spray pen before stamping and coloring the image with markers.  Next, she wove some Canvas Fringe through the tag hole and tied it. Lynn added some background paper which was distressed with ink and then topped the tag off with a chipboard banner and a button sticker from the Jenni Bowlin Magpie Hodge Podge sticker collection which was tied with some Brown Kraft Baker's Twine.  Lastly, Lynn added a touch of pearlized paint to the peaches to give a bit of a sheen.  For more info on the process you can visit Lynn's blog From My Bungalow.

Jessica Esch
Who doesn't like to get messy playing with Inks, Paints and Markers??? For this week's challenge, Jessica used a birthday sketch and played with her copic markers to inspire you for a brand new challenge. She started out with a Brown Kraft Cardstock base and added some pattern paper from Basic Grey. Next she used an adorable image from By Lori Designs and colored the birthday boy using her copic markers. To embellish her card further, Jessica used some White Twill Tape, cut the length she wanted and colored those pieces with the matching copic marker color. Then to attach her ribbon to her card, she punched 2 holes using her One Eighth Hole Punch and added 2 Custom Fasteners. Since the custom fasteners were left plain, she stickled them to match the color theme of her card, as well as added more stickles to her colored image. To finish her card up, Jessica stamped her birthday sentiment, from My Creative Time~Vintage Sentiment stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. For more details on her inspiration card and additional pictures, you can visit Jessica's blog~ Chick-n-Scrap.

Karen Letchworth
For this week's "Inks, Paints and Markers" Challenge, Design Team Member, Karen, decided to use Inks and Paints.  She started with a Small Lunch Bag Kraft Notecard and attached a piece of floral patterned paper to that.  Next, she took a Mini Kraft Merchandise Bag and stamped a "thank you" sentiment on it with olive green INK.  These Mini Kraft Merchandise Bags are wonderful for tucking in a gift card (which you can see in the photo).  She also used some acrylic PAINT in turquoise and pink on the edges to match the floral patterned paper.  More INK was  used to stamp "thank you", and more PAINT was used on the edges of this as well.  The final touch was made with a few lengths and a bow made of Pastel Hemp Cord.  The Hemp Cord comes in several wonderful colors.

You can read more about Karen's card and the supplies she used by visiting her blog, My Cup Runneth Over.  She  looks forward to seeing what you will create using Inks, Paints and Markers this week, and hopes you will share with us here at The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog.  Happy crafting!
