Kraft Outlet DT Reveal for "Chick's Rule" Challenge
|Jan Del Bone|
For this week's "Chicks Rule" Challenge, Design Team Member, Karen, decided to make a card for one very "cool chick" in her life, and that's her sister-in-law who is from Russia. Karen started with a Kraft Corrugated Square and then added a base made from Buff Ivory Cardstock to which she adhered her goodies. Here is some of what she used: various patterned papers, a vintage button, a few colors of wonderful (and ON SALE) Baker's Twine, an adorable Canvas Tag, and then, for the sentiment she used two different sheets (one a small printed card and the other a small sticker from the mini sticker sheet) found in the Black Jenni Bowlin Memo Note Book ...... a VERY fun and versatile product.
Another tip that Karen always likes to share is that the Bone Folder is such a useful tool any time you need to make clean folds, or smooth out a surface. She uses it when adhering the little stickers from the Black Jenni Bowlin Memo Note Book to the paper before running it through the printer. For today's 'Chick's Rule' challenge, Debbie began with a base of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock onto which she layered a piece of Buff Ivory Card Stock and then a couple of pieces of patterned papers from the Kraft & Black Cardstock Pad. The layers were secured with some machine zig-zag stitching. Next, Debbie added a piece of washi tape to the top of the card and created a banner using Black Wooden Clothespins, Pink Baker's Twine, Buff Ivory Card Stock and the Banner Wishes & Alphas Lower stamp sets. Deb added a layer of ruffled crepe paper and then tied a bow around the card using some Ruler Twill Ribbon. A Round Metal Edge Grungy Prim Tag was stamped with another sentiment from the Banner Wishes set and tied around the middle of the bow. Last, Debbie stamped Abigail onto some Buff Ivory Card Stock, colored and cut her out and then dressed her in a pretty little dress, bonnet and ballet slippers from the Jelly Bean Time stamp set!
